Fall 2018 Maxwell Creek Family Dentistry Newsletter
Football season is here and will soon be followed by cooler temperatures. We have a lot of exciting things coming this fall; mainly, our new office building! Construction is moving along, and we expect our building to be completed by the end of November. With that being said, if you have a scheduled dental appointment in November or December, we will contact you regarding our move date by phone call, email, text, and pigeon carrier if necessary! Stay tuned as our move date will be determined within the next few weeks.
Our staff recently attended a continuing education course to learn more about benefits of proper tooth alignment. While we already know that malocclusion and a misaligned bite lead to dental wear and fracture, we have learned that the overall health impact goes even further. If a misaligned bite is not corrected, it can lead to airway obstruction that may result in TMJ issues, poor sleep patterns, behavioral and developmental issues in children, increased risk of cardiovascular disease, headaches, and joint pain among many other ailments. This course has further enhanced our passion to treat our patients overall health, and it's such a joy to resolve these symptoms for many of you. While your mouth is a small part of the body as a whole, it is the gateway to many signs which impact your entire body and how it functions as a whole. Read more about malocclusion here.
